I wanted to thank you all for your support through this race. I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished. We have done so much on the campaign trail to push the conservative message among groups that would typically not have been exposed to it. Our message is truly the best and most compassionate message for the people of this Nation and I am committed to continuing what I’ve started. From the bottom of my heart, I want to express how grateful for each one of you that helped us through this campaign. It is now time for us to support those in our Party against those that want to take away our freedoms.
It has been a wonderful experience for me and my family. We have had the opportunity to meet many new people, learn more about the community, and be able to help the conservative movement. The inclusion and welcoming that we felt by the Republican Party makes me confident in our system. I am happy to be the only candidate that did not have a grassroots background, but became the grassroots candidate with the support of precinct chairs, elected officials and grassroots activists. We need to continue to grow and extend a hand to those individuals who may not feel welcome into the Party because of their historical lack of involvement. We are the party of inclusion and opportunity and I am happy to be representing it as a past candidate and continued activist.
My battle to fix health care has not ended with this race, and I ask that you continue to support our efforts. We need to make legislatures understand that healthcare solutions do not exist in the Republican talking points of price transparency and insurance sold across state lines. It is much deeper and more complicated than that. Your representatives are doing you no favors by propagating this message, and I want to help. You’ll be hearing more from me in the coming weeks about a full court press to implement common sense legislation in Washington DC and Austin. As we ramp up, please be prepared to join the movement to get government out of the business of healthcare.
