David Balat, 45, was born and raised in Houston, to parents who moved to the United States from the suburbs of Jerusalem and Bethlehem in Israel. David’s father was born deaf and mute, and taught his son about adversity, and his mother taught him to have a strict work ethic. They promoted an English-only household, so David could have the best opportunity for success in their newly adopted country.
We must uphold the Constitution as it is written. It is not a living and breathing document, it is the law of the land. We must protect our Constitutional liberties.
As a Constitutional Conservative, I believe in national rights. The proper role of government is to preserve protect and defend those natural rights.
Healthcare is an intricate and complicated issue that needs to be addressed by an expert in the field. There are too many people trying to fix a system they do not understand. My plan, FreedomCare, has the support of many in the industry and is a free-market solution that gets government out of the business of healthcare.
For too long Houston has been neglected and the key industries of Oil and Gas, Health Care, and Business have been ignored. We need a comprehensive plan in order to strengthen our economy and infrastructure in Houston and the U.S.
Our national defense is weak along the boarder, and our soldiers are not given the proper resources they need. We must continue to strengthen our national defense as a deterrent to other countries and groups that wish to do us harm, and protect Americans here at home.
I plan on going to DC and deregulating government. Career politicians maintain their power and influence as legislators by increasing the size of government and consequently their role within it. Limited government is the ideal of the conservative base and of those that love liberty and that is what I will fight for to preserve. The last of my concerns will be my longevity in Congress.
